After lunch, I was about to doze off...  It means I need a caffeine boost! There are several coffee shops around my work place. It's actually one of the reason I like working in DTLA. There are Starbucks of course, and then Cafe Verve, Cafe Dulce, Matte Black Coffee, and this place.

 

I like how tall the ceiling is and big space. This would be a great place to read emails for work or even just to read a book or people-watch in your leasure time. I actually have been to another location of Civil coffee in Highland Park. This place seems more work frirendly and I love how quite it is. Highland park location is more likely neighborhood hangout spot so It's a place that you talk with friends.

I guess we came too late for little munchies. It kinda looks sad.. more likely leftover looking.. but we came late so no problem.

 

I am trying to drink only a cup of coffee for a day so my coworker and I got tea latte instead of coffee. We got the iced green tea latte and one chai latte. It tastes bit watered down, wished it had stronger flavor.

 

People these days talk about nomalizing 9-6 jobs instead of promoting freelancing. Well, I am an employee of a big corporate, I have to work 9-5:30 every day and go to the office in person. For people like me, getting a cup of coffee outside is such a refreshing thing to do and really boost my energy and mood. It is defintiely a simple pleasure that I enjoy the most on my weekdays.
